Strips of bark are peeled away in a sustainable manner, yielding a gummy oleo-resin that contains oils, terpenoids, and gum resin. The gum resin from boswellia has been used extensively in Ayurvedic practice to support a wide variety of conditions.

Also known as frankincense, boswellia is best known for supporting joint health. Further uses have shown it also supports mental function, keeps blood cholesterol at a healthy level thus supporting heart function, supports the health of the gastro-intestinal tract, supports the health of the lungs, supports menstrual health and supports male sexual health.
